Value

  • Compare peer groups
  • Review MEDPAR database history
  • Customize reports for deeper analysis

Standardized reports

The first set of standardized reports summarizes the multi-year MEDPAR database for a particular hospital. These reports include a comparison to a default peer group defined as all other hospitals in the county or state. The second set of standardized reports is a comprehensive set of reports that summarize the 1995 through 2000 MEDPAR database by state and hospital.

Customized reports

Reden & Anders can accommodate customized requests for further segmentation of the hospital reports. Examples of customized reports include a report by MSA, a report for a hospital system, or a report by DRG. However, it should be noted that there are CMS-required minimums as to the data cell volume that may preclude us from releasing all data elements in the report for customized requests. Also note that as the size of the defined area requested decreased, so does the credibility of the information provided.
