Biennial accreditation is received for second time

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. – February 20, 2007 – Ingenix, a health information company, announced today its subsidiary ENS has received full accreditation by The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). EHNAC's accreditation process requires a rigorous assessment of compliance with current performance criteria verified by a site review and approved by the commission. This is an independent peer review of an organization’s ability to perform at industry-established levels. Only 27 companies have full accreditation.

“This accreditation confirms that ENS has an unparalleled ability to address the health care industry’s unique information and technology requirements,” said Ana English, senior vice-president, EDI Solutions, Ingenix. “This is confirmation of our employees’ passion for advancing the usability and simplification of health care and their commitment to improve the quality and consistency of how care is delivered. Our clients can be confident their information is secure with us, and they can focus delivery. Achieving this accreditation demonstrates to our clients that ENS uses best practices and delivers state-of-the-art processes and functions for electronic data interchange.”

This rigorous accreditation process evaluates every aspect of ENS’ operations. EHNAC thoroughly tested and evaluated business processes, including security, privacy and confidentiality, technical performance, business practices and resources.

Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC said of ENS, "Today Ingenix’ subsidiary ENS joins a select group of clearinghouses that have demonstrated to independent third-party evaluators their ability to deliver their services consistent with the only standards in the industry that measure the overall business practices of a clearinghouse."

“We believe this accreditation is important because it is becoming absolutely essential as a criterion for selecting a clearinghouse,” said Ana English. “For example, in Maryland and New Jersey, EHNAC accreditation is required of any entity processing health care transactions on behalf of health care organizations located in those states.”
