Ed Schneider is a Principal in the Atlanta office of Reden & Anders. He has worked extensively with numerous HMO plans, provider organizations and other managed care entities throughout the country. He has more than 25 years of experience in the managed health care field.
His areas of expertise include:
- Product development
- Development of rating and underwriting strategies
- Analysis of historical health claims experience
- Development and analysis of claim reserves
- Evaluation of provider reimbursement and risk-sharing arrangements
- Performance of operational reviews of actuarial and underwriting departments
- Financial reporting and modeling
- Provision of actuarial, financial, and strategy support to start up organizations
Prior to joining Reden & Anders, Schneider was a principal with the Tillinghast-Towers Perrin health sector practice. During his career, he has worked in a variety of positions for commercial, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and managed care companies, including serving as the chief financial officer for a mid-Atlantic HMO and as the group actuary for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland.
Schneider received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Haverford College and is an associate of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
